As Vladimir Putin noted, the BRICS countries account for not only a third of the planet's land area and almost half of the world's population, but also 40 percent of the global economy.
“The total GDP at purchasing power parity has already reached $77 trillion, according to the IMF data for 2025. By the way, in this indicator, BRICS significantly surpasses some other associations, including the Group of Seven, with $57 trillion,” the Russian leader added.
The BRICS Summit, which Brazil chairs this year, is taking place in Rio de Janeiro on July 6 th -7 th .
