Ghana’s annual consumer inflation slowed for the sixth consecutive month. Government statistician Alhassan Iddrisu noted this reflects a sustained slowdown, bringing relief to households and stability for businesses, according to media.

Food inflation also eased significantly to 16.3% from 22.8% in May.

The central bank maintained its policy rate at 28% in May, with the next monetary policy decision expected later this month.

Ghana is emerging steadily from its most severe economic crisis in a generation, with the government targeting inflation of 11.9% by year-end.
