Another major milestone in the successful energy partnership between India and Bhutan is signed with the inauguration of the Punatsangchhu-II hydropower project.
In the evening, PM Narendra Modi was received by the King and Queen of Bhutan in Tashichho Dzong, the iconic fortress and Buddhist monastery located on the western bank of the Wang Chhu River in Thimphu, Bhutan. He offered prayer and lit a butter lamp along with the King and Queen.
