New Delhi: Shocking videos have surfaced, capturing the terrifying moment before the deadly blast that rocked Delhi's Red Fort area, leaving 9 people dead and multiple others injured. The footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows a ball of fire erupting into the air, accompanied by the sound of a loud explosion, during live camera.

The video, captured by a civilian at the spot, provides a chilling glimpse into the moments leading up to the blast. The footage shows people walking about, unaware of the impending danger, when suddenly a bright flash illuminates the scene, followed by a deafening sound.

The high-intensity blast near Delhi's historic Red Fort occurred on Monday evening, claiming the lives of at least 9 people and leaving multiple others injured.

According to locals, the blast occurred near a crowded market area, causing fear and panic among the people present nearby. "I was standing nearby when I heard a loud explosion... I saw people running and screaming, and then I saw the flames rising into the air," said one witness. The injured have been hospitalised, and the doctors are providing all necessary support to the affected families.

The blast, which occurred at around 7 pm, was so powerful that it shattered the windows of nearby buildings in the surrounding areas. The Delhi Fire Services dispatched seven fire tenders to contain the blaze, while the Delhi Police Special Cell and anti-terror squads cordoned off the area.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, saying, "May the injured recover at the earliest. Those affected are being assisted by authorities." Home Minister Amit Shah has also visited the blast site and met with the injured at Lok Nayak Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, with forensic teams and technical experts probing the cause of the blast. The Delhi Police have registered a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Explosives Act.

The Red Fort, a historic monument and a symbol of India's rich cultural heritage, is usually bustling with tourists and locals.

Further details regarding the incident are awaited.
